These are nice seats for waiting for your flight.
I’m sitting here at The DFW Airport and I’m wondering why people don’t smile anymore. I’m somewhat of a people watcher and when I make contact with people I like to smile and give them a little nod. You know, just to say hello. I would venture to say that 8 out of 10 times I don’t get a smile back. Are people just that unhappy that they can’t return a friendly gesture? Maybe they think I’m some psycho (maybe they are psycho).
I know I need to understand that I don’t their story. Maybe they are waiting for a flight to their hometown where a 20 year high school reunion awaits them with all the disappointments of unaccomplished goals. Perhaps a family member has passed on and they have the task of getting all the affairs in order. Maybe everyone is just dreading being packed in a plane like sardines. Whatever the reason a simple smile will do wonders to improve one’s mood. In fact there are many benefits to smiling.
