This post and a few to follow are inspired by Shawn Achor and his TED presentation on the Happy secret to better work.
I am grateful for my mother-in-law and father-in-law. They are true examples of lasting love and sensibility.
I am grateful for my sister-in-law. She is always willing to help someone in need. She is dedicated to church and family.
I am grateful for my job. Overall I work with a great group of people. I feel like I have created some worthwhile friendships with some of my colleagues.
Today I ran 5 miles and I was still a little sore from the 14 miles run two days ago. But I do feel more focused on my goal to run my first marathon this November.
Last night I was suppose to meditate for 5 minutes but I tried using a meditation app on my iPhone. It is a guided meditation where a voice walks me through relaxing and clearing my thoughts. Well, it seem to be working for about 5 minutes and then I feel asleep. I guess that is not such a bad thing but I think I need to practice more on the act of meditation rather than just falling asleep.
For my random act of kindness I will email and thank a coworker. This coworker has worked it out so that I don’t have to be part of a rotation for teaching certain skill set at work. This is very helpful.
