(this was published before my 7 Day Detox)
When I lived on my own almost 20 years ago I barely had enough money to pay rent, my car payment, and then my utilities. So, my meals would mainly consist of what my mother made for me or very simple quick meals that I could make with what I had in my kitchen.
I would often throw something together like Ramen Noodles and Tuna or just throwing whatever spices I could find on some chicken, fry it up and add some rice. That is the idea that inspired my Shrimp wrapped bacon dinner.
I arrived home from work and threw together this meal.
I made some brown rice and had my dinner. It was nothing special, nothing that would make it into any cooking books but it was tasty and it took me about 15 minutes to make.
6 Turkey Bacon strips
About 20 pieces of shrimp
Salt and Pepper
Do you have any meals that you discovered just by throwing together what you had in your kitchen?
